Leveraging architecture and standards, Cisco Domain Managers provide network- and service-layer management to enhance time to revenue and OPEX reduction for service providers. As service providers evolve from providing traditional TDM-based services to converged IP-based services, they need to revamp their existing OSS to support these advanced services. Migrating the traditional OSS to support IP-based services is fairly complicated and time consuming. The Cisco Domain Managers are designed for service providers to accelerate the migration and lower the cost. The key features of domain managers are provisioning, service-level monitoring, and service-level accounting. The current releases of domain managers support a wide range of service domains such as MPLS VPN, IPsec VPN, Any Transport over MPLS (AToM), Internet access, managed security, metro Ethernet, Voice over IP, cable, access voice, and wireless.
